The Wolfson Training Centre is located on the ground floor of the library. This is a medium-sized meeting and training room. It is perfect for a board meeting, video conference meeting, lecture or workshop. Facilities include:

The Resource Centre Teaching Laboratory provides a spacious and flexible venue uniquely combining facilities for workshops, conferences and lectures with laboratory benching and equipment for practical work and field courses.

The Centre can be partitioned into connecting meeting and laboratory areas or remain as one large space. Facilities include:

A fully equipped laboratory
Modern mobile benching and fully adjustable lab stools
Fixed benching with sinks
Easy access to wet bench seawater aquarium facilities
A range of microscopes
Digital overhead projector and flexible screen options
Fridge and freezer facilities available on request
Mobile whiteboard and flipcharts

The Common Room

The Common Room

With glorious views over Plymouth Sound, the Common Room is the heart of the laboratory for both staff and visitors and can be hired for a range of functions, events and meetings.

The space is equipped with audio visual facilities and can be used for talks, meetings and presentations as well as reception buffets and social events. It provides a less formal setting for talks and workshops and regularly caters for evening and breakfast events.

Our Common Room seats a maximum of 80 people for your event.
